Who needs teeth when you can have a mouth full of bloody gauze? That’s the question we all must face in our life at least once… err well maybe its only me that has to face that question. LAME!, if that’s the case.
I could make up some strange story about how I haven’t posted in a while because of my painful wisdom tooth problem, but that would be a lie… I’ve just been lazy, and introspective as of late. I guess its time to break the silence and give Julia a hand at this whole blog update shin-dig we got going on here.
Well, like the picture illustrates I finally got my teeth yanked over the holiday weekend. I’m quite proud of my bloody gauze. It was a very easy proceedure, I went to sleep around 10 and woke up around 11 without two of my teeth. I guess I really work up at 10:50 and then passed out again… finally waking up at 11. Julia took great care of me while I lumbered about the rest of the day having incoherent conversations with our neighbors about gas in the lawn mower.
I really didn’t suffer through any hard core pain, just a general soreness and stiffness. I really didn’t dip into my little pill bottle of vicatin, so if you need some just hit me up. I really don’t like the stuff cause it makes me feel barfy. I’m a huge fan of valum though, and it will definately be on my x-mas wishlist this year. I never really thought I was an anxiety ridden individual… until I no longer had anxiety due to being medicated pre surgery. Sign me up I tell you.
By now it’s worn off and I’m back to my regular high strung self… but it was nice to live a normalized existence for even jsut a short while. Even Julia said she liked me better on the stuff, so you know its gotta be good.
The rest of the weekend was pretty normal, working around the house. Oil changes for the car, working on the pantry, a few parties attended for birthdays and what not.
In the randon category: Tomorrow I’m off to see the Deftones with Brian. Fancy Dan is off to Chicago in the coming weeks for a new gig. I’m off to Taco Tuesday tonight, for a beer and fun times digging taco meat out of the new holes in my jaw. Julia can feel little Parker swimming around in her belly more and more each day, which gives me a slight smile when I think about it. Oh yeah, and julia bought me some cool new shirts.
